Well its to late to undo it now, I just trimmed down all the E.tenellus to 5-7cm (2-3 in), i hope it will not die from it.
The plant mass i trimmed of was 350g (12.3 oz) and smells quite intense.
Hmm, I wonder if it is possible to cut the E.tenellus like you move the lawn?
Tropica writes that the height should be 5-10cm (2-4 in) but mine is taler than 20cm (8 in) and is starting to take over the aquarium in height as well.
If you install IE7 and have a site powered by plone you will notice a slight problem, IE7 will notice you that you will have to accept the use of the plug-in for MSXML 5.
The reason for this is that MS by some reason have marked MSXML as insecure and will warn before using this plug-in, the nice thing is that the earlier versions of are not affected by this.
I fixed this by searching for files which referred to MSXML (HTTPXML.5), this lead me to a file named “sarissa.js” which could be found in a couple of places, i edited this file and removed the references to MSXML 5 .
I restarted zope and made a ctrl+F5 refresh in IE7 and everything worked without warnings, plone / IE7 will use an earlier xml version instead.
I cant guaranty that this will not affect anything else, but it seems to work just fine for me.
Yesterday was a sad day, my large fine female discus was found dead yesterday when i got home from work.
The discus has been acting a bit strange the last couple of days, but otherwise seemed to be fine.
It will be missed, this is the female one which has been involved with my fries and a lot of spawning.
Yesterday i noticed that two of my fluorescents in my fixture was not on, i was a bit worried that it was something wrong with the equipment, but after some tube switching i could decide that it was one of the fluorescent tubes that was broken / wared out.
I went away and bought two new ones and ordered another two, so i can change all of them.
I have no idea about for how long the have been off, i will check the oxygen graph to see if i can determine it from that, there are a lot more bubbling today than last week at the same time of the day.
I thought based on the text and spectrum of the fluorescent wrapping that the new tube would be like Phillips Aquarelle, but it’s a lot more blue.
It’s a pity that Aqua-Medic wont print the lumen value value of their light sources, if the would we / Defdac could make PUR calculations for them.
When I made the latest water change i made some testing as well to check the overall status, a guess was that the PO4 level was low due to my GSA.
The tests showed that all levels were just fine except Fe, I have lowered the micro nutrition previously, but now it was now measurable at all, zero, so i will have to rise the dosing of that again.

I had the intention to take a photo of the aquarium tonight, but i saw that the rear window had quite a lot of GSA on it, so it had to be some scraping instead.
I think i will have to rise the PO4 level a bit in the future to avoid this.
