Well, the CO2 tank is empty again.
I changed to my other today, good to have a spare one.
I checked my measurement log for time of tank emptiness, that was quite fun because you could see what happens.
I placed some figures on the graph to describe what happens (the purple line is CO2 on / off):
1: Tank empty somewhere here.
2: Light goes on and the CO2 uptake accelerates.
3: Light goes off.
4: Water change, this pushes the pH to ~7.5 but normally it only goes as far as 6.8 if the CO2 system is running normal.

The last couple of weeks there have been quite few entries, this is mainly due to these two causes,
1. It have been quite intense at work in combination with “winter tiredness”.
2. I’m evaluating another Plone blog software, it’s a software i used to use but it had some bugs which made me change from it to this one, but now i have Plone upgrade problems with this one, if i upgrade plone the multi language function is not working, which i really like.

The aquarium is still running very well, but…
The Nesaea crassicaulis is growing with slightly crooked leafs and the new Eusteralis stellata has similar growth, I dosed 10ppm Ca through CaSO4 at the latest water change, i hope to see some change in growth.
The Heteranthera zosterifolia seems to taste quite good according to my angel fish, all the leafs are chewed on, but as it grows quite fast it does not matter.

Yesterday morning it was time for the weekly water change, everything has been working very great for quite a long period now, and is still getting better for each week so i will not change anything…..
It has been quite a lot of bubbling from the plants every day in the past week, even the Nesaea crassicaulis is doing great and that seems to be a good sign(according to me this plant is very picky and seems to be very sensitive to low CO2 levels).
The aquarium is also very free of algae, which i really like.
Just before i changed the water i made some measurements, just to see if i was running low on something due to the good growth in the aquarium, but the measurements showed that the levels are still a bit high but as stated above i will not change anything as the aquarium works so great.
The values:
NO3 = 40ppm
PO4 = 5ppm
Fe = 0,3ppm

I don’t have to much to write about at the moment, The aquarium is working great and never underestimate the risk of low CO2 level in a planted aquarium.

When I was at the LFS some days ago to check if my new fluorescents were in, they were not but they had a lot of newly delivered plants, and as usually i could not help my self from buying some.
I went home with one Eusteralis stellata and one Heteranthera zosterifolia, they have been placed in the middle of my large aquarium, I guess the risk will be that the H.zosterifolia will grow to fast for that aquarium.
I will try to past a new photo of the aquarium next coming weekend.
