This is how my nutrition maintenance looks right now and has been for about four weeks.
A large water change on Saturday morning.
Nutrition concentration after the water change including added nutrition and tap water levels:
FE = 0.25ppm
NO3 = 20ppm
PO4 = 1.46ppm
K = 20ppm
Mg = 4.5ppm
(Ca = 24ppm) only by tap
Daily concentration increase Sunday – Friday:
FE = 0.13ppm
NO3 = 1.9ppm
PO4 = 0.3ppm
K = 1.5ppm
I have checked the levels during the week and it seems to be very stable through the week.
The growth is very good and everything seems to be working great.

Everything seems to be working very well right now, even my Rotala wallichii is locking good and growing quite well.
The picture is taken just before lights off, that is why the plant is drawn together.

I have a little glass bowl which I have placed some aquatic plants in and letting them grow wildly.
Most plants which grow up over the water surface gets very nice and quite often sets flowers.
In my little bowl i have:
Hydrocotyle verticillata
Hygrophila polysperma
Ludwigia repens “Rubin”
And right now it’s the Hydrocotyle verticillata which is having flowers.

I have now a working conductivity measurement and will continue to examine the possibility to use it for automatic adjustment of nutrition addition.
I have good hope for it and some indication that it will work, I’m a bit afraid of messing with the aquarium now when i finally got it working well, but i will have to do it for science
.
This weekend when I make my water change I will also calibrate all the probes.

I tried to connect the water to ground today, it did not affect the measurements except a very little change in conductivity on the other hand the measurements were very stable and did not get disturbed by the dimming.
I first tried 1Mohm but that did not fix the problem totally so i connected the water directly to ground and that worked very well.
I think i will have to make a real ground probe now.
