I have been struggling with a new skin today, if you have experienced strange things or slow behavior it could be due to this.
I think the skin turned out pretty well, sometimes you need to press Ctrl+F5 to clear the stored CSS file from the cash.

I’m quite happy about the Aquamedic products but have recently discovered that they don’t spend any money at all extra on the products.
When i bought my 2x150W MH i got some noise problem, when i began to check the technic behind MH i discovered that the technic Aquamedic had chosen was the cheapest but also a technic that roughly always gives noise problems.
Now i have bought a T5 fixture, this one is also a Aquamedic product, I would like the ability to dim it by my IKS, but in this case they also made it as cheep as possible and don’t have a ballast which is dimmable.
This is not a big problem for me as i didn’t buy it new and for full price.
I have already ordered a dimming unit for my IKS and new dimmable ballasts, so i will soon be able to have real day simulation.
Addable is that i have tried to contact Aquamedic at several occasions which has resulted in ether no answer or an answer which was not help able, the last time was about the T5 fixture and have not received any answer at all.
I still think Aquamedics products are nice, but they should have a lot more technical information about them and a customers support that works.
Next time i think i will go for the Giesemann products……

I have made a little Excel-file, which helps me getting the nutrition levels right all week, it is mad for my purpose but it might help someone else.
You are free to use it, but it is on your own risk.

I made some measurements today, just to check how things are doing, it was quite good.
I do my water change on Saturday morning so this is a bit over half the week past that.
NO3 = 15ppm
PO4 = 2ppm
Fe = 0.1ppm
If i should change anything i think i would rise the Fe level a little bit, to about 0.2.
Edit: I have now raised Fe to a level which i guess will give me 1ppm more next week.

I have for a long time now been quite tired of looking at the mess in the cabinet for the aquarium, and now i have made something about it.
I ordered MDF-board in the right sizes, painted them tree times the same evening and mounted them the following day.
I think the result i quite good and i don’t have to look at the mess in the cabinet anymore.

It seems that i finally has come to an end with all my growth problems, i would like to tell this once more, stability and continuity are very important.
I have the past 12 months been having all kinds of growth problems, but now everything seems to look good.
The last thing i fixed was to dose to a normal level of nutrition directly after the water change and then just a little bit every day to keep the level.
In the past time i dosed the same quite high level every day which made the level go from low after the water change to very high before the next water change.
This is just one of the problems i have had.
I will still keep an eye on it for a couple of weeks, knock on wood…

I have had fever for a couple of days and been lying most of the time, but it’s OK now and I’m back to business.
I will make a post tomorrow about my aquarium status.
Now for some fun…..
Yet another amazing LEGO creation.
